HVAC Sales Engineer

Thermco is a dynamic and highly respected manufacturer’s representative with over 50+ years
of
successfully marketing and selling quality HVAC and plumbing products. We take pride in
the level of customer service and professionalism that we provide to our customers and manufacturers. We presently have multiple career opportunities for experienced full-time Sales Engineers looking for long term professional growth, one position in northern New Jersey and Metropolitan New York and one position in Lower New York State and Connecticut.

Responsibilities:

  • •  Create and Develop long-term profitable relationships with mechanical engineers
  •    and contractors to sell our products within assigned territory.
  • •  Visit mechanical engineers and contractors to ensure our products are successfully
       specified.
  • •  Provide job quotes to clients based on their project requirements.
  • •  Develop and grow sales in the assigned territory with existing accounts as well as
       new accounts.
  • •  Increase sales by securing new contractor relationships and expanding sales with
       
    existing ones.
  • •  Become an invaluable technical advisor to the engineering and contractor community
       from the initial design phase of a project through the commissioning of the project.
  • •  Identify and cultivate new business contacts and opportunities.
  • •  Maintain awareness of competitor activity.
  • •  Ability to prioritize effectively based on financial impact to the desired business goal.
  • •  Work with inside and outside sales and corporate personnel to meet customer needs.
  • •  Complete required reporting such as scheduling, target accounts, call reports,
       expenses, etc.

Qualifications:

  • •  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred but not required
  • •  5-10 years’ experience in HVAC industry is required; Established client relationships
       in local territory a plus
  • •  Must be self-directed and display strong initiative to complete goals
  • •  Ability to promote our products and assist mechanical engineers and contractors
  • •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • •  Ability to work independently
  • •  Conduct quality product presentations and meetings
  • •  Highly self-motivated individual to obtain orders for the products we represent
  • •  Excellent follow through skills
  • •  Excellent time management skills
  • •  Contact Management skills
  • •  Must exhibit superior customer service
  • •  Strong PC skills and working knowledge Word, Excel and Power Point

Associate Estimator

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate Estimator to join our team of professionals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • •  The ability to read and understand drawings and specifications for various projects.
  • •  Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing terminology and related equipment.
  • •  Review plans to determine the equipment that we can provide.
  • •  Prepare and review the equipment pricing.
  • •  Familiarity with the appropriate measuring devices and tools used in the estimating 
  •    process.
  • •  Assist in the take-off of information from drawings and the dissemination of information
  •    from specifications to provide quotations to our customers.
  • •  Experience using different computer programs and methods to generate quotes.
  • •  Understand scope of work to bid.
  • •  Ensure timely completion of estimates and follow-up.
  • •  Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
  • •  Establish and maintain working relationships with manufacturers, mechanical contractors
  •    and plumbing contractors.
  • •  Must have good communication and proven sales ability in the HVAC industry.

Qualifications:

  • •  A minimum of 3-5 years of experience estimating HVAC and/or plumbing is required.
  • •  Ability to interact and communicate effectively, both verbal and in writing, is a must.
  • •  Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal communications skills.
  • •  Strong attention to detail.
  • •  Ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times.
  • •  Computer literacy in Word and Excel.

  

Wholesale Sales Representative -- Immediate Openings in
New York and New Jersey

Create, develop and manage profitable long-term customer relationships with plumbing and HVAC wholesalers and contractors selling residential, commercial and industrial plumbing and heating equipment.  Increase sales by securing new, quality points of distribution and expanding sales at existing points.  Provide job quotations, technical support and marketing programs tailored to the customer.  Conduct sales presentations and meetings during and after business hours based on customer needs.

Develop comprehensive marketing and technical product knowledge through employer-provided training as well as independent study.  Must be a motivated team player seeking long-term professional growth and success.

Sales representatives are needed in both the northern New Jersey and metropolitan
New York areas.

Qualifications:

  • •  Minimum five years experience in the plumbing or HVAC industry in a sales capacity
  • •  Demonstrated sales ability
  • •  College degree preferred
  • •  Strong attention to detail
  • •  Excellent inititative and interpersonal communication skills
  • •  Computer literacy
  • •  Excellent time-management skills
  • •  Energetic, highly motivated and professional demeanor
